Shaping Punjab’s Future — Legislation defining the Plans!
With the Punjab Land Use and Zoning Plans already in place, the PMU hosted a dedicated session to give it legislative teeth — through the Punjab Land Use Plans and Zoning Rules 2025.
Purpose? To ensure our plans don’t just sit on paper — but actually shape cities and towns across Punjab with clarity, structure, and sustainability.
From the field to the desk , planners from the executing agencies, LG&CD Department senior officials, PMU experts, and academia joined hands to review and refine the draft rules with real-world insights.
For the first time ever , those who will implement the plan were the ones helping write the rules! That’s how you build legislation that works — by discussing zoning with the people on the ground.
Participants shared thoughtful, field-tested comments with one goal in mind:
To bring the Land Use Plans to life — with the power of the right legislation.
